Before motherhood, I had a fulfilling career with an incredible organization and was doing well professionally. But after the birth of my child, I made the difficult decision to step away from my career six months after returning from maternity leave. At that point, I truly believed I was doing what was best for my family.
But once I was home, something inside me began to shift.
I found myself constantly overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, and reacting to situations more intensely than before. Small parenting decisions became arguments. Conversations turned into conflicts. And although my husband and I both deeply loved our children, we were struggling to understand each other.
The truth was - neither of us was wrong. We simply had different belief systems, different emotional needs, and different approaches to parenting.
As our family grew, the emotional distance between us grew too.
One particular disagreement became a turning point for me. In that moment, I realized I was not only drifting away from my partner - I was slowly disconnecting from myself and from the kind of parent I truly wanted to be.
That realization changed everything.
I began deeply studying parenting, emotional intelligence, communication, and family dynamics. Around the same time, I also stepped into teaching, believing that staying busy would help ease the emotional chaos within me. But I soon understood that distraction was not the solution. Awareness was.
That understanding transformed my life and my relationships.
As I started working with children and interacting closely with parents through teaching, I began sharing simple yet practical emotional tools and parenting insights that had helped me personally. Slowly, I started seeing changes - calmer homes, stronger communication, happier parents, and emotionally safer children.
That was the beginning of Mindful Family Circle.
Today, through my work as a Parenting Coach, Teacher, Author, and Emotional Intelligence learner, I help parents strengthen their relationship while raising emotionally secure children.
